Frank F. Craig BSc PhD MBA (Managing Director)
Frank has around 15 years of international, General Management experience gained from GlaxoSmithKline, Amersham Biosciences (as a Vice-President of R&D) and several start-up firms. He was responsible for the product devt and commercialisation of Green Fluorescent Protein (first identified by the 2008 Chemistry Nobel Prize Winners) and many other leading-edge products.
Frank is a (co)-Founder of Smart Holograms (Cambridge, UK) - named as the UK's Fastest Growing Firm in 2006, and of Aurora Biosciences (San Diego, USA), which had a peak market cap. of £1.6B. Frank has raised £16M in Venture Capital, £23M via an IPO on NASDAQ, and has delivered many commercial partnerships with firms - resulting in recorded deal values of £180M.
He has been a Board Director of Smart Holograms and TekCel (Hopkinton, USA), and is currently a member of the UK Trade and Investment Advisory Network, GlobalScot and Development Board of Warwick Business School (WBS) and the Saltire Foundation.
Frank has provided consultancy services to around 70 potential high-growth businesses in the last few years. These have been from many different industries and he has helped them raise investment, improve sales and grow by acting as an Advisor or Non-Executive Director. He has a PhD in Microbiology from Glasgow University and an MBA from WBS.
